She is an experienced professional with an education background in Psychology and Specialized Geriatric social work. Jan is industry-recognized and respected as a trusted guide for seniors and their families offering expert and tailored care management and support to navigate the often-complex journey of aging. Her extensive work includes facilitating multiple caregiver support groups through the Alzheimer’s Association and Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease. Complementing her valuable experience she is a Certified Dementia Practioner (CDP). Additionally, she serves as a founding member of the state-directed, Dementia Care and Cure Initiative (DCCI) reflecting her dedication to those facing challenging diagnoses. 

Driven by a deep-rooted faith and a servant’s heart, Jan brings warmth, compassion, and practical expertise to every family she serves. Having personally experienced the emotional journey of aging family members she understands the weight of caring for senior loved ones and is a steadfast advocate to get seniors the best care possible in a very challenging healthcare industry. Whether it’s legal matters, crisis intervention, healthcare coordination, housing, or financial direction, Jan works with the individual, in tandem with families, always with grace and empathy.

As a Certified Aging Life Care Specialist, Jan continues her mission to honor and support our beloved seniors and veterans who have paved the way for all of us.  Every day she is dedicated to providing not only expert care and advocacy but also comfort and assurance so no one feels alone as they navigate critical decisions and care for their precious loved ones.

What is an Aging Care Life Specialist?

Grace and Guidance is a guide and advocate for families who are caring for older loved ones, and navigating the turbulent waters of aging. We are educated and experienced in the areas of counseling, gerontology, mental health, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, psychology, and social work. Our focus is for each client to attain their maximum functional potential. Independence is encouraged, while safety and security are also addressed. We have extensive knowledge of costs, quality, and availability of resources in our communities. Lastly, we are members of the Aging Life Care Association (ALCA), which must meet stringent education, experience, and certification requirements. All members are required to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
